Welcome to NICUMT.org sponsored by the National Institute for Infant and Child Medical Music Therapy. If you are a NICU-MT, music therapist, adjunctive professional, parent, student or interested person we are pleased to invite you to this online community. Through this format NICU-MT fellows and other contributors will discuss innovative research and clinical demonstration programs for medical services to children. Our purpose is to improve care to reduce the trauma for children in medical services and to prompt neurological and developmental growth. One of our specialty areas is evidence-based music therapy procedures for premature infants. Please explore this blog as well as our clinical training website.
